MORTGAGE LOAN OFFICER ASSISTANT

 We are looking for an inspired, energetic, and committed mortgage professional to join our top-producing team. We are looking for a Unicorn who has a talented mix of guideline knowledge, processing abilities, and sales skills, and will act as the "right arm" to our top producing Loan Officer team. 


This role will work directly with our team’s clients to provide a seamless and expeditious mortgage process along with white-glove customer service.  This support will allow the Loan Officers team to spend the majority of their days originating more loans and managing the San Francisco Division of Primary Residential Mortgage. This position requires the knowledge to analyze customer credit, review income and asset documents, and structure a loan, while maintaining positive and informative relationships with clients.

Responsibilities


Your mission, should you choose to accept it:


  • Be the main point of contact for borrowers and interested prospects for basic questions, document requests/collection, and status updates
  • Facilitate the completion of loan applications (digital/phone)
  • Help gather, organize and  prepare all documents needed to meet underwriting requirements
  • Structure loan files based on specified parameters (running DU/LP, researching guidelines, income/asset  analysis, etc)
  • Organize, label, and analyze documentation from borrowers and keep applications up to date and accurate  based on current information
  • Remain current on mortgage loan product updates (CONV/JUMBO/FHA/VA) -  procedures, guidelines, and documentation requirement changes
  • Communicate daily with the Loan Officer, Processor, Operations staff, etc.
  • Put out loan "fires"  whenever possible
  • Be a sponge for information/knowledge, always striving to be the best possible at your position.

Qualifications    


  • Current or previous experience fulfilling the roles of LOA/Loan Partner, Processor, Loan Officer and/or Underwriter
  • Minimum 2 years of mortgage experience, 5+ preferred.
  • Knowledge of DU and LP
  • Know how to analyze credit reports, income, and asset documents, as well as general ways to structure a loan.
  • Must have a current working knowledge of mortgage loan products (CONV/JUMBO/FHA/VA) and knowledge of mortgage procedures, processes, and documentation.
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills
  • Has excellent organizational, time management and follow-up skills
  • Recent experience and  competence with Encompass 360 preferred


Compensation


$25/hour and per funded file bonus. Full time employee (M-F/40 hr) & eligible for overtime. PTO and Benefits (Medical, Dental, 401k, etc.) available after first 60-90 days

MORTGAGE UNDERWRITER/ SR UNDERWRITER

  Job Description:


Underwrites residential loans ensuring compliance with appropriate company and secondary market investor standards. As a Mortgage Underwriter you will be responsible for but not limited to the underwriting of residential loans ensuring compliance with appropriate company and secondary market investor standards. A Mortgage Underwriter will be responsible for examining loan documentations for accuracy and completeness while working with loan originator or production staff to secure all required documents. You may be required to work with more senior mortgage underwriters on loan exceptions having the authority to withdraw and decline loans. Mortgage Underwriters may be involved in one or several types of mortgage lending (conventional, government-backed, etc.) You may also be required to respond directly to individual and investor audits. This job code includes all levels of underwriting authority and exception levels. May respond to individual and investor audits. Must achieve government underwriting authority consistent with individual level of experience, including a successful CAIVERS check. This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. Since your position requires SAFE Act registration, you will be required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process. Failure to obtain and/or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Required skills:  


  • Minimum of 1 year of manual underwriting experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Thorough understanding of credit and an ability to review complex financial documents

Desired Skills:  


  • FHA and VA underwriting experience with DE and SAR.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT SPECIALIST I

  Job Description:


The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Manage the relationship between customers and The Client via the following: 


  • Actively and patiently listen to customer questions and needs Provide solutions to customer in a clear, positive manner (and tone!) If you cannot provide a solution for a customer, be able to find a team member that can and warmly transition them to that team member while providing a smooth and painless customer experience.
  • Assist in educating the customer on how to use the sites, platforms, and tools Properly document each customer interaction in the MSP Mortgage Servicing System;
  • Responsible for prompt and accurate response to customer's mortgage servicing questions and concerns.
  • Ensure that borrower inquiries, disputes and complaints are handled within specified timelines and CFPB Guidelines; 
  • Answer inbound and make outbound calls from the Customer Support Center and respond to customer requests within established timelines to maintain service level expectations and deliver quality service to customers. 
  • Responsible for assuring all regulatory requirements are met concerning customer interaction by explaining policies and procedures courteously and patiently.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer’s nonpublic information.
  • Effectively communicate with team leads and managers to ensure The Client is providing excellence customer service. 
  • Speak clearly while also maintaining a positive attitude. 
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the loan process and ability to speak with customers regarding their mortgage loan information. 
  • Provide written and verbal responses to customer inquiries as needed. Efficiently navigate Mortgage systems.
